Today, Joseph Chalom, a senior executive in BlackRock's digital asset division, announced his departure and will join Sharplink Gaming as co-CEO. Notably, Sharplink Gaming is currently the second largest treasury company in the Ethereum ecosystem.
Chalom has worked at BlackRock for nearly 20 years, during which he has driven several important cryptocurrency and blockchain-related projects. His work involves the development of Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC) spot ETFs, as well as innovative products such as tokenized funds on the blockchain. In addition, Chalom is also responsible for establishing strategic partnerships with several well-known cryptocurrency and fintech companies, including Coinbase, Circle, and BNY Mellon.
This personnel change reflects the talent flow between traditional finance and the emerging digital asset industry, while also highlighting the increasing importance of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in the financial sector. Chalom's addition may bring rich industry experience and a wide network of contacts to Sharplink Gaming, which is expected to promote the company's further development in the Ethereum ecosystem.
