JPYC approved for issuance of yen-pegged stablecoin, supporting issuance and exchange on three chains.

[Chain News] On August 19, JPYC Corporation was registered by the Kanto Finance Bureau of Japan as a "money transfer service provider", becoming the first institution in the country to issue a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the yen. The JPYC stablecoin will use the yen as its reserve asset and support issuance on three chains: Ethereum, Avalanche, and Polygon. Users will be able to exchange and redeem yen for JPYC. JPYC is distinguished from traditional Crypto Assets and aims to enhance digital financial payments and Web3 application scenarios.
