On August 22, according to reports, prosecutors in Taiwan have cracked down on the virtual currency实体店面 trading platform "Cointhink" Technology Company involved in fraud, with money laundering amounting to 2.3 billion TWD and over a thousand victims. Prosecutors launched a search operation in April, successively detaining the responsible person Shi Qiren and 13 others, seizing cash of 60.49 million TWD, 640,000 USDT, and other virtual assets. The Shilin District Prosecutor's Office today prosecuted 14 individuals for fraud, money laundering, and organization-related charges, and applied for the confiscation of criminal proceeds amounting to 1.275 billion TWD.
