Democratic Party congressmen join DOGE Efficiency Department and become allies of Trump and Musk
Under the leadership of Musk, the Department of Government Efficiency of DOGE has expressed its intention to significantly reduce the US government's defense budget and inefficient public infrastructure, which has rarely led to consensus among the Republican Party and some Democratic Party members in the United States. Some Democratic Party members have even stated their support for DOGE and are prepared to join the alliance. Democratic Congressman Jared Moskowitz recently joined the core group of the Congress Hill led by the Republican Party, while also supporting the newly established Department of Government Efficiency DOGE by the Trump administration. Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna also stated that he will cooperate with Musk on certain national political issues. Independent Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont directly expressed his approval of Musk's direction to cut the Pentagon's defense budget.
Jared Moskowitz hopes to make the US Secret Service and the Federal Emergency Management Agency independent federal agencies and report directly to the White House in a non-partisan manner. This idea has bipartisan support, while Bernie Sanders and Ro Khanna, based on audit failures, hope to reduce the Pentagon's defense budget.
According to CNN, Moskowitz will not be the only Democrat to join the DOGE core team. Some Democrats see DOGE as an alternative option, providing lawmakers with an opportunity to participate in discussions without having to vote on the official position.
Democrats said they want to be part of the conversation on government reform, and they can also provide checks on Republicans if they try to use their power in Congress and the White House to cut healthcare or social security benefits, among other things.
DOGE has become an independent cross-party alliance organization
Last month, Trump announced that Musk and Ramaswamy would jointly lead DOGE. Although it is not clear when Trump will announce how the DOGE government efficiency department will work, DOGE will provide external advice and guidance to the government. Currently, lawmakers who support DOGE include Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, who is also a supporter of blockchain and BTC, and independent Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who is neutral in the political arena but publicly recognizes Musk's DOGE policy and believes that the bloated defense budget should be cut. Jared Moskowitz, a newly allied Democratic lawmaker, hopes to directly connect with the White House through independent oversight. Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna said in a tweet on X that when discussing issues of wasteful national spending, fraud, abuse, and open competition, some Democrats will cooperate with DOGE led by Musk.
Earlier, the author wrote two articles tracking Trump and Musk's deployment of DOGE. DOGE has not yet started to operate, but it has become the shadow government of the United States, gathering supporters from both the Republican and Democratic parties and financial technology elites who support cryptocurrency reform and regulatory measures. However, the US media is reporting on the latest developments of DOGE, and there are also many speculations and doubts. After all, the various parties involved in DOGE have their own calculations. What new developments will there be in the future? The author will continue to follow up and report, let's take a look together.
